From Zombiefied to Possessed: The Records Behind the Designs
We've been releasing records since 1983, and some of our designs point straight back to them. Here is a quick map of the albums, and which songs turn up on the merch.
How many albums are there?
Thirteen studio albums so far:
- Who's Been Sleeping in My Brain (1983)
- Acid Bath (1984)
- Maximum Security (1985)
- "It" the Album (1986)
- Here Cum Germs (1987)
- Another Planet (1988)
- Curse (1990)
- Open Head Surgery (1992)
- Inferno (1994)
- Nocturnal Emissions (1997)
- Information Overload (2004)
- Death Trip (2010)
- Possessed (2018)
Which song is on the Zombiefied design?
"Now I'm Feeling Zombiefied". It came out as a single in 1990 and sits on Curse. Our Now I'm Feeling Zombiefied design puts the line under a white-faced portrait and the dripping logo.
And the top hat skull?
That's Possessed. The Possessed Top Hat design scrawls the title of our 2018 album under a screaming skull, with our name hidden in its eyes and mouth.
Where does the dripping logo come from?
It's our own lettering. The horror-comic logo runs across almost every design, on one line or stacked in three, from the slime-green Slime Drip Logo to the red letters on Bat Umbrella.
What about the faces?
Pure Fiend imagery. The Red Goggles and Psychedelic Goggles designs, the Antenna Face and the woodcut Roll Up Roll Up all play with the white make-up and black eyes we're known for.
One design, every garment
Every design comes on tees, long sleeves, crewnecks and hoodies, with kids' and youth sizes too.
